USCIS evaluates NIW petitions under three prongs: substantial merit and national importance, whether the petitioner is well positioned to advance the endeavor, and whether waiving the job offer benefits the United States.

The most common failure is describing a field rather than an endeavor. A petition should state precisely what you will do, at what scale, and with what measurable impact.

Letters should come from people who can speak to results, not credentials alone. Contracts, adoption metrics, funding, and citations all carry more weight than adjectives.
